Kipepeo Restaurant
Named for the Swahili word for butterfly, Kipepeo is where most meals happen,indoors by the fireplace on cool highland evenings, or out on the terrace looking over the pool and the forest beyond it. Breakfast leans continental, with produce straight from the garden; through the day the kitchen moves across African, Asian and international dishes, all built around whatever's ready in the orchard that week.

Dining at the retreat
From the Farm, to Your Plate
Set in the fertile Ngorongoro highlands, home to some of the best coffee and produce found anywhere in the world, much of what's served at Kipepeo is grown right on the property. We harvest our own honey, roast our own coffee, and make our own jams and juices; fresh milk and eggs are sourced locally too. For any special meal requests or dietary restrictions, our team is happy to tailor-make meals, you need only ask.

After a long day out, relax in a comfortable space at the Nest Lounge, our bar and lounge area. Our friendly staff are always on hand to serve your favourite drink, cocktail, or mocktail. Or simply find a cozy corner to read, play a board game, or sit by the fireplace and enjoy.

Terrace Dining
Kipepeo's terrace sits above the pool, forest stretching out past the water, the kind of view that makes you order one more coffee before you move. Breakfast out here catches the morning light before the highland sun gets serious about it; dinner catches the opposite end, the forest going dark while the terrace stays lit and warm. It's the seat most guests ask for twice.
